Guy Kergan joined the Board of Prostate Cancer Support Regina in June 2024 and currently serves as Board Treasurer. Guy worked in health care administration and finance for over 30 years, retiring in 2013. He has served on a number of other non-profit boards and committees.
Guy was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015 and spent three years on an active surveillance program before undergoing a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in 2018. Although his pathology report indicated elevated risk, he remained cancer-free for five years. In 2024 he experienced a biochemical recurrence of PSA. Early in 2025 he completed a successful course of external beam radiation therapy at the Alan Blair Cancer Clinic at Regina Pasqua Hospital. Guy is grateful for the high-quality diagnostic and treatment services he has received and is committed to supporting others affected by prostate cancer.
Guy and his wife Verna live in Moose Jaw and have four children and nine grandchildren.
