Jeff Hutton Bio

Jeff Hutton grew up in the town of Lumsden starting there in grade 1 and finishing his grade 12 in that community. His family had a farm a few miles out of town where Jeff assisted his dad in farming the land, growing/harvesting grains, raising cattle which included hay baling, yes the smaller square ones you had to load by hand, unlike the big round ones of today. They also had horses and Jeff won a few trophies with his horses Tammy and his sister’s horse Gypsey in Gymkhana (stakes, poles and barrel racing). Other activities he enjoyed were hardball, hockey and volleyball. Jeff received his Bachelor of Business Admin Degree (major in Finance) and went on to get his Bachelor of Science (Computer Science major), both from the University of Regina. He was employed in Information Technology by Dairy Producers for 6.5 years and then Co-operators Life Insurance for 17.5 years with his final title there “Senior Manager of an Applications Team”. Jeff changed fields in 2014 and became a Real Estate Agent with Century 21 where he currently works. Jeff has been a member of the Board of Revision and Development Appeals Board since 2014 where he has been part of a panel who rule on assessment and development appeals travelling throughout the province pre-Covid. In 2021 Jeff was part of 133 separate appeals that year. The last two years he has served as Board Chair for Western Municipal and RM of Edenwold hearing appeals from numerous RM’s throughout the province. Jeff is proud father of 2 beautiful ladies, Jacqui (married) has a Business Admin Degree (combination of Guelph and University of Regina) and went back to school to get her Social Work degree where she graduated in 2022. She got on a permanent contract and is now a social worker in Saskatoon. The youngest Shantel, received her Physcology Degree and is back at the University of Regina getting her Social Work Degree which she will receive in 2024. Jeff was treated for prostate cancer in 2018 and lived 3 years with no sign of the cancer returning. PSA level rose in late 2021, so Jeff was treated with 33 radiation treatments. His PSA readings for the last year have been negligible which is what you want post surgery. Jeff’s dad died of Prostate Cancer and both his brother’s have had Prostate Cancer.
